This wine cellar built into the extension of the Corian kitchen was designed to meet the requirements of an interior designer. Wenge was used to obtain the required contrast between dark and light. The cellar is accessed from the kitchen but is separated by a glazed frame to create an enclave dedicated to wine at the heart of the house, offering all the advantages of cellar, but on the ground floor.
With its tailor-made units made entirely of wenge, the cellar is fitted with double sliding drawers, inclined display units and wide storage trays for bottles or wooden cases. LED side-lighting is fitted into the units to create a variety of atmospheres. There’s also a vitrified tasting island where bottles can be opened immediately.
