About This Project

Environment

This wine cellar was designed for the gourmet restaurant “Black Pyramid Courchevel” in the luxury “K2 1850” hotel. The units are made of lightened natural oak and tinted glass. The layout was specially designed to store and display a number of large bottles such as magnums, jeroboams, etc…. The finest bottles had to be visible from the tables in the restaurant, which is why they are stored at a height.

Special characteristics

The cellar is equipped with a dual-temperature air-conditioning system to allow white and red wines to be served immediately in the restaurant at their ideal temperature, i.e. 9° and 16° respectively. The Satinis tinted back-lighting helps to create the intimate atmosphere required for the restaurant.
